Context
Venus has reached an agreement with BNB Chain to discontinue the Venus BNB Burn program, which was previously funded by allocating a portion of BNB Chain protocol revenues toward BNB buybacks and burns.
At the same time, Venus continues to review the sustainability of incentive distributions across supported chains. In certain cases, revenue generated by specific chains does not sufficiently cover their ongoing operational and maintenance costs. To address this, Venus is proposing an updated revenue-based eligibility framework for Prime Rewards and XVS Vault Rewards.
Action Required
If approved, the following changes will be implemented:
1. Cessation of Venus BNB Burn

Venus will no longer allocate 25% of BNB Chain revenues toward the Venus BNB Burn.

Any remaining tokens held in the WBNBBurnConverter contract

0x9eF79830e626C8ccA7e46DCEd1F90e51E7cFCeBE)will be transferred back to the Venus Treasury.
2. Updated Rewards Distribution Eligibility
Starting next month, Prime Rewards and XVS Vault Rewards will be distributed only on chains that meet the following criteria:
- The chain must generate an average revenue exceeding $50K, calculated over a rolling 6-month period.
- If a chain’s average revenue falls below this threshold, 100% of the revenue will be allocated to the Venus Treasury, and no Prime or XVS Vault rewards will be distributed for that chain during the period.
Based on average total revenue from July 2025 to December 2025, only BNB Chain meets the eligibility threshold for rewards distribution in January 2026.
