Proposal: Venus Stars Program Renewal 2024

  1. Introduction

We are proposing to restructure and renew the budget for the Venus Stars Program (Ambassador Program) for the period of July 2024 - June 2025. Venus is constantly expanding and we need to be ready for the upcoming deployments on several additional blockchains. These expansions require adjustments across all aspects of the program.

As Venus rapidly expands its reach across multiple blockchains, the demands of our global community continues to grow. To meet these evolving needs, it is imperative that our strategies and plans remain flexible and adaptable.

Strengthening our teams and allocating sufficient resources are essential steps in supporting this growth. Additionally, investing in the education and training of our Venus Stars is crucial to enable them to effectively disseminate information about Venus and provide comprehensive support to users worldwide.

  1. Challenges

  • Coordination and Communication: Ambassadors play a crucial role in representing Venus and fostering community growth. However, a key challenge is ensuring effective coordination and communication among ambassadors across different regions and time zones.
  • Sustaining Ambassador Enthusiasm: Another significant challenge is maintaining enthusiasm and involvement among ambassadors, especially during periods of market volatility or project development.
  • Program Synchronization: Additionally, challenges related to resource allocation and communication among multiple decentralized teams need to be addressed to align efforts with the broader goals of the Venus ecosystem.
  • Expansion of Social Media Reach: With the helping hand of the Vanguard Vantage Team, we will actively strive to expand our social media presence, leveraging their expertise and resources to engage our audience effectively.
  • Maintaining High-Quality of Education: Maintaining the highest standards of education for ambassadors involves continuous assessment and enhancement of training programs, requiring regular updates to educational content and methods to equip ambassadors with the latest knowledge and skills to effectively represent and promote the brand.
  • Development of Rewards System: Finally, we aim to develop a rewards system that recognizes and compensates community members for their engagement, achievements, and loyalty. This system could include points, badges, and leaderboards to encourage healthy competition and a sense of achievement.

Team Venus Stars represents a dynamic group of professionals who have joined forces to push the boundaries in the field of decentralized finance (DeFi). Composed of individuals with extensive experience from various sectors, including the financial industry, technological development, and marketing, their common goal is to bring progressive solutions and innovations to the DeFi landscape, which is characterized by constant technological advancements and rapid changes.

  • Dominik: Venus Stars Program Manager

A seasoned mentor and leader who actively builds a network of passionate Venus Stars, empowering them to lead community education and grassroots growth at the local level. He immersed himself in the world of cryptocurrencies in 2011 when he made his first Bitcoin transactions. Since then, he has accumulated valuable experience from various sectors of the crypto industry. A few years later he decided to fully dedicate himself to DeFi. His expert guidance is crucial for spreading knowledge and adoption of the Venus Protocol worldwide. His strategic vision and experience, which he now shares with the team of ambassadors, are essential for supporting the global expansion and successful functioning of the Venus Stars Program.

  • Serhan: Venus Stars Community Manager

He completed his master’s degree in two separate branches: Business Administration and Advertising. In the Advertising Company of which he was the founding partner, he served as the Turkey Representative of world-famous companies (Coca Cola, Philip Morris, P&G etc.) and successfully managed his team of 600 people until the Pandemic period. He was introduced to Blockchain in 2018 and stepped into the DeFi industry with Venus Launch in 2020. He is one of Venus’ early investors and Community Moderators. He used his experience in the field of advertising within Venus and organized numerous Offline events and gave interviews for dozens of News channels, TV and magazines. He is a Venus supporter who is trusted and respected by the Turkish community and the Global community.

Cultivates a dynamic and inclusive community, managing online interactions, addressing user inquiries, and collaborating on initiatives for global engagement. By moderating discussions and creating educational content, he ensures that members are both informed and engaged. It is vital to ensure all Venus communities are welcoming, informed, and actively participating in the protocol’s growth. Through consistent communication and support, he fosters a sense of belonging and collaboration among community members, and also motivates them to get involved in protocol governance and vote on proposed changes.

He collaborates closely with developers, marketing teams, and community managers to ensure content accuracy and relevance, while also staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements to continuously improve educational materials.

Venus Stars Program Manager (PM)

  • Responsibilities:

    • Lead and oversee the Venus Stars Ambassador Program and all activities worldwide to ensure alignment with program goals and standards.
    • Mentor Venus Stars, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed in their roles.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of ambassador initiatives and events.
    • Conduct training sessions and provide continuous development opportunities for ambassadors.
    • Monitor and manage the budget allocated for ambassador activities and related expenses.
    • Assess the performance of ambassadors and provide feedback to drive improvements.

    • Oversee and engage with all Venus online communities and third-party projects on a global scale, including platforms like Telegram, Discord, Twitter, Reddit to broaden the protocol’s brand, reach and impact.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with Venus community members, encouraging positive interactions and promoting the organization’s values and goals.
    • Moderate discussions across various channels, promptly responding to inquiries and efficiently resolving conflicts to uphold a respectful and inclusive environment.
    • Collaborate with the Venus Stars Program Manager to strategize and implement initiatives aimed at community growth and diversification. This includes coordinating campaigns and events that align with the Venus Vanguard’s objectives.
    • Utilize analytics and data analysis tools to evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.

Stipends:

Additionally, this item covers team-related costs, including salaries, training tools, and resources necessary for effective program management, coordination, and support.

IRL Events:

  • Description: IRL (In Real Life) events refer to physical gatherings, such as meetups, conferences, or workshops in which the ambassadors participate or they are organized by the Venus Stars program.
  • Purpose: Funds allocated for IRL events cover venue rental, catering, stage time, logistics, and other associated expenses to facilitate face-to-face interactions, networking opportunities, and community building.

Events Marketing/Travel/Administration:

  • Description: This category encompasses expenses related to marketing efforts for events, travel costs for ambassadors attending events, and administrative expenses associated with event planning and coordination.
  • Purpose: Funds are used to promote events, cover travel expenses for ambassadors representing the program at various locations, and manage administrative tasks essential for event organization and execution.

Gifts (Swag & Promotional Items):

  • Description: Budget allocated for providing gifts, merchandise, or promotional items to attendees at events and participants in our online activities such as AMAs, Interviews, etc…
