RedStone Oracle Extractable Value (OEV) Integration on Venus Feeds

RedStone is the fastest growing Modular Oracle with $7.5B+ Total Value Secured (TVS) across 110+ chains, used by some of the most renowned protocols in the DeFi space such as Venus, Fluid, Spark, Morpho, Pendle, Compound, Gearbox and many others. Apart from delivering blue chip assets price feeds, we specialize in yield-bearing collateral for lending markets, closely cooperating with protocols like Securitize (as the official oracle for BlackRock BUIDL, Apollo ACRED, VanEck VBILL), Ethena (sUSDe), Lombard (LBTC), CAP (cUSD), Ether.fi (weETH), Renzo (ezETH), Lido (wstETH) and many more.

RedStone feeds have been utilized with zero incidents and the highest reliability by Venus on the BNB Chain including the major BNB and BTC markets. RedStone proposes upgrading existing Venus data feeds on BNB Chain with OEV services to grow Venus’ competitive edge and unlock new revenue streams.

What is OEV and Why Does it Matter to Venus?

RedStone Atom is an OEV capture product that not only provides the Venus DAO with higher value-capture from liquidations, but it also makes the core Venus product more secure and robust by enabling faster liquidations than the status-quo. The implementation can offer more competitive risk parameters, and provide better experiences for Venus users in the form of higher yield and greater protection from bad debt.

When a liquidation opportunity appears, RedStone OEV replaces the usual open-access mempool competition with a flash, off-chain sealed-bid auction. Bidders submit private bids, and the winner executes the liquidation atomically with the price update in a single transaction. The result: value that would normally be captured by external MEV actors is instead retained by Venus and redirected to its treasury.

Battle-Tested Track Record with Venus

RedStone has been deeply integrated with Venus since 2023, supporting all new requests timely and as a priority partner, with our feeds serving as the primary oracle for Venus’s highest TVL markets on BNB Chain (BNB and BTC markets). RedStone, as the only oracle, has a stainless track record with our infrastructure operating reliably at scale for years without any incidents.

Dedicated Oracle for Market Robustness – RedStone built dedicated BNB/USD and BTC/USD infrastructure specifically for Venus with a 0.1% deviation threshold, implemented as the primary oracle in Venus’s ResilientOracle module (Governance post 1). This configuration has been battle-tested across multiple market cycles and has proven its reliability with zero incidents.

Enabling Cross-Chain Expansion – RedStone provided and subsidized XVS/USD price feeds on Ethereum and Arbitrum, enabling Venus’s multi-chain strategy without requiring the DAO to bear infrastructure costs. (Governance post 2)

Across all integrations with Venus, RedStone has maintained zero mispricing events. Our feeds have been operating as Venus’s primary oracle for significant TVL, proving their reliability in production.

Ecosystem Partnership and Long-Term Building Plan – RedStone is committed to supporting Venus’s growth across multiple dimensions. We’re faster than competitors at deploying new price feeds, enabling Venus to move quickly when new market opportunities arise. Recently, we deployed approximately 13 new price feeds on BNB Chain within one week and 7 additional feeds in the following week, demonstrating our operational excellence and commitment to Venus’s roadmap.

As Venus evolves, RedStone is positioned to support expansion into new collateral types and markets. Our dedicated RWA pricing infrastructure, developed through partnerships with Securitize and operation of HIP3 markets on Hyperliquid (which hit $0.5b+ volume in the first 2 months) is ready to serve Venus if the protocol decides to expand into real-world assets. We’re also prepared to support Venus’s cross-chain expansion strategy, bringing the same reliability and OEV capabilities to additional ecosystems as needed.

RedStone specializes in on-chain native assets and yield-bearing tokens, and we’ve already begun working on several feeds demanded by Venus, including BETH and slisBNB. OEV integration is just one of the steps in expanding our collaboration and bringing sustainable revenue streams to Venus. As new opportunities emerge, whether new collateral types, advanced liquidation features, or additional chains RedStone is committed to supporting Venus’s growth and helping unlock more value for the protocol.

Performance Data from Live Deployments

RedStone’s OEV infrastructure (Atom) has been stress-tested in live environments with real liquidation volume:

HyperEVM Results: In the first two weeks following OEV launch, the system captured approximately $120,000 and $75,000, respectively, demonstrating consistent real-world revenue generation from liquidation opportunities even in smaller ecosystems.

Felix Protocol Results:

These results show that RedStone OEV can operate reliably at scale while capturing meaningful value for the protocol.

The system is designed with resilience as a foundational principle: if infrastructure fails for any reason, Venus immediately falls back to standard liquidations with no delay or disruption to protocol operations. This means the worst-case scenario is simply that Venus doesn’t capture OEV value—liquidations continue normally.

Integration and Implementation

No changes to the data feed or code are required. Venus will continue using existing RedStone data feeds exactly as it does today. RedStone will enable OEV on all primary RedStone-integrated price feeds on BNB Chain within approximately 2-3 weeks of governance approval.

Venus governance retains emergency controls to instantly disable OEV by notifying RedStone, which is critical for any risk-managed integration. We’re committed to providing transparent, real-time metrics on OEV performance so the community can monitor outcomes continuously.

As a close oracle partner we have proven to support Venus with the highest quality deliverables and in a priority manner. We are committed to working closely with Venus and supporting its further expansion on the OEV and other avenues.
