As the XVS supply pool also plays a good role in the Venus ecosystem, the team should consider rewarding with a 2%-5% APY, borrow/lending becomes more atractive. The shortfall funds should cover for that revenues.

i am also thinking like that.
but making supply cap bigger is better way to support xvs .
because if pritocol gives interest to supplier, everybody wants to supply xvs, not staking at vault
but you have the 8% valut apy, and someting like 1% or 2% for the supply pool. Obviously youll go for the vault, but that 1% can help mitigate the negative apy
