[BNB Chain] Enable Bounded Pricing on the Remaining Core Pool Assets

This proposal is the final step (VIP 3 of 3) of the DeviationBoundedOracle (DBO) rollout on BNB Chain. It extends bounded pricing to every remaining Core Pool asset, bringing the total under DBO protection to 29 assets.

Background

The DeviationBoundedOracle protects the protocol from short-lived oracle price deviations. Instead of valuing positions at the raw spot price, it tracks a rolling price window per asset: while spot stays within the asset’s trigger threshold the oracle simply returns spot, but once a keeper observes spot deviating beyond that threshold, collateral is valued at the conservative window-minimum and debt at the window-maximum — limiting the protocol’s exposure to manipulated or anomalous prices until the market stabilizes.

The rollout has been delivered in phases so each batch could be observed in production before the next: VIP-617 deployed the DBO and enabled the first asset (TRX) as a canary, and VIP-626 enabled the next eight (AAVE, ADA, BCH, DOGE, LINK, LTC, TWT, UNI). With both phases performing as expected, this proposal completes the rollout across the Core Pool. Five stablecoin markets that were not part of the original deployment — DAI, FDUSD, lisUSD, sUSDe and USDe — are configured here with a tight, flat trigger threshold of 5% and reset threshold of 2%, rather than the wider collateral-factor-derived band used for volatile assets, since these markets are expected to hold their peg.

Summary

If approved, this VIP will:

  • Configure and enable bounded pricing for 5 stablecoin markets not included in the original deployment (DAI, FDUSD, lisUSD, sUSDe, USDe).
  • Enable bounded pricing for the 15 remaining already-configured Core Pool assets, so protection becomes active across the full pool.
  • Bring the total to 29 Core Pool assets pricing through the DBO’s bounded (protected) price rather than the raw spot price. Each asset’s price window re-seeds at the current spot on enable, so there is no stale-window risk, and no parameters for previously enabled assets are changed.

We welcome community feedback on this proposal ahead of submitting it for a VIP vote.
