This was a very unfortunate incidend and this proposal allows Danny and the wider Venus teams to continue doing what they do best - working hard to make Venus the best lender in Defi.

That’s why I’m a venus protocol investor. When we say its a digital bank, security and insurance are more important than anything else.
I am very glad that the losses were compensated.

Venus has shown great responsibility in addressing the issue. Supporting the reimbursement ensures continuity for Venus Stars and Vanguard while strengthening community trust. Allocating XVS for losses aligns with Venus’ long-term success.

Such a move raises further concerns, as XVS is designed with the goal of reducing its supply to support long-term value appreciation. The token’s deflationary nature aims to increase scarcity and market demand, thus fostering the stable growth of the Venus platform. Releasing a large amount of XVS, such as 100,000 tokens, would not only negatively impact the value of the token but also undermine the community’s confidence in the platform’s long-term growth potential.
In this context, using public XVS to compensate an individual’s losses becomes even more problematic. It could directly contradict the token’s deflationary strategy, leading to oversupply and potentially harming the overall market. This action could make other community members question whether all XVS resources should be handled in this way, thus affecting the health of the entire Venus ecosystem.
From both a resource management and long-term platform benefit perspective, releasing a large amount of XVS to cover personal losses should not be a practice that is readily adopted.

I know Danny for already almost 5 years. He is the most hardworking person I ever met. Always dedicated to his work and loyal to his community.

With Danny now we see Venus from strong side, with huge potential to become number 1 lending platform in DeFi,with last quarter income almost 1000.000$. Venus can easily handle it.

I understand how challenging this situation is for us and our community. This security breach not only resulted in financial losses, but also caused significant morale issues within us. However, the way you responded quickly and transparently during this difficult time shows your commitment to the community and the ecosystem.
I believe this proposal is an important step in ensuring the continuity of operations of Venus Stars and Venus Vanguard and maintaining the stability of our community. Furthermore, the proposal to compensate for the losses in XVS seems like a reasonable approach as it supports both the long-term health of the ecosystem and the balanced use of our budget.

I fully agree with this proposal, and you have my support, as I personally hold Danny in high regard and believe he should be compensated for what he unfortunately lost in this incident. I deeply admire the work Danny does here at Venus and everything we are building together as a community.
