This proposal strengthens the price feeds behind eight BNB Chain Core Pool markets. Six of them rely on a single price source today; each gains a second, independent one. The remaining two move onto a more manipulation-resistant class of feed.

**Background**

The four tokenized-stock markets price from Atlas alone, with no second source. slisBNB likewise prices from a single redemption-rate path. asBNB does have a second source, but it is served by Binance Oracle, which is being retired — this is the last active Venus market still depending on that vendor. SolvBTC and xSolvBTC are priced correctly today, but lean on market-price feeds for assets whose value is defined by a redemption rate, a thinner and more manipulable input than the rate itself.

APRO is an independent oracle provider on BNB Chain whose feeds for the four tokenized-stock assets have been deployed and reviewed, making it available as the second source those markets currently lack.

**Proposed Changes**

A dash (—) means the slot is unchanged. Changed slots read `before` **→** `after`. The agreement band is how far the main price may sit from the pivot before pricing halts.

| Market | Main | Pivot | Fallback | Agreement band |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **SKHYB** (SK Hynix) | — (Atlas) | none **→** APRO | — | none **→** ±5% |
| **NVDAB** (NVIDIA) | — (Atlas) | none **→** APRO | — | none **→** ±5% |
| **SPCXB** (SpaceX) | — (Atlas) | none **→** APRO | — | none **→** ±5% |
| **TSLAB** (Tesla) | — (Atlas) | none **→** APRO | — | none **→** ±5% |
| **asBNB** | — | Binance **→** Atlas | — | — (±5%) |
| **slisBNB** | — | none **→** Atlas | — | none **→** ±5% |
| **SolvBTC** | Chainlink market price **→** Chainlink exchange rate | — | RedStone, no longer publishing **→** none | ±5% **→** ±2% |
| **xSolvBTC** | RedStone exchange rate **→** Chainlink exchange rate (SVR) | none **→** RedStone exchange rate | — | none **→** ±2% |

**Summary**

If approved, this VIP will:

- Add a second, independent price source to the six markets that lack one, and set the agreement band against which each main price is checked
- Remove the protocol’s last active dependency on the retiring Binance Oracle
- Move SolvBTC and xSolvBTC onto exchange-rate feeds, retire a SolvBTC feed that no longer publishes, and tighten SolvBTC’s band from 5% to 2%
- Extend the Oracle Guardian’s existing emergency price-pinning permission to the Atlas and APRO oracles, so a faulty main price can be corrected without waiting on a governance delay

Collateral factors, borrow and supply caps, interest rate models and every other market parameter are unchanged. No user action is required. Full contract addresses and call details are in the VIP voting proposal and the GitHub PR.

We welcome community feedback on this proposal ahead of submitting it for a VIP vote.

We reviewed the APRO pivot configuration update for the four bStock markets as well as changes to the BNB LST and Solv asset oracles, executed as VIP-654 on 2026-08-16, and support them. An analysis summary follows.

## Summary

- Before this VIP, all bStocks on Venus were priced by a single oracle. Adding APRO as pivot provides an independent price check. The tradeoff is potentially liveness when the Pivot and Main oracles disagree.
- Atlas and APRO feeds agree closely the vast majority of the time, with a median deviation of 7 to 18 bps. For bStocks, Atlas is the more appropriate Main oracle at this time as it more closely tracks the bStock price during volatile periods.
- The ±5% deviation set by the VIP is appropriate. For the bStocks, three of the four listed assets have never breached this deviation.
- Oracles for Solv assets are made more robust through the inclusion of new Chainlink feeds
- asBNB and slisBNB assets are made more robust through the inclusion of Atlas oracles in the Pivot position, similar to the bStocks

## 1. Configuration

| Ticker | Underlying | Market | Atlas aggregator (MAIN) | APRO feed (PIVOT) | Fallback |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| TSLAB | Tesla | NASDAQ | `0x63950c265e7cdb4016ba60c288c46291c0148ce2` | `0xe1bc21701Bc8FFa39DaecDb8f58263C1d5e1c0bc` | None |
| NVDAB | NVIDIA | NASDAQ | `0x8a44cf4e55add99eb8bac5d5db749c63106d54aa` | `0x310EFC9Fefe89B8085F89E91Ac782Bef6416499E` | None |
| SPCXB | SpaceX | NASDAQ | `0x0072e55bff6fec200708ce82612569a1c0eb4b24` | `0x44c4173459121690613Bc22C110c4f0624254f3E` | None |
| SKHYB | SK Hynix | Korea Exchange | `0x8a87b38d4c8ef07546a1dd87a9d58f0b36b11a2b` | `0x2446DCeDd294EDB5d90Ee16Fa32Da56Bc2973ACd` | None |

**Impact** : With a Pivot configured and no Fallback, the resilient oracle returns the Main price only while it sits inside the band around the Pivot.

## 2. Measured deviation

We have measured the absolute deviation of both feeds (`Atlas / APRO)`, from 2026-06-26 through 2026-08-31.

| Ticker | Days | Median | p95 | p99 | p99.9 | Widest |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| TSLAB | 66.4 | 7.4 bps | 48.4 bps | 97.0 bps | 147.9 bps | 304.4 bps |
| NVDAB | 63.6 | 7.9 bps | 45.0 bps | 90.2 bps | 141.7 bps | 324.3 bps |
| SPCXB | 62.6 | 9.9 bps | 81.3 bps | 123.1 bps | 168.0 bps | 666.4 bps |
| SKHYB | 48.6 | 17.6 bps | 107.1 bps | 143.5 bps | 172.5 bps | 324.1 bps |

![Time per month the Atlas price would be rejected, by band width](https://community.venus.io/uploads/default/original/2X/2/2e6b01dbdd5f2d2e3d8699fe7dc9e132ceb96191.png)

Time per month the Atlas price would be rejected, by band width

At a ±5% band, only SPCXB has ever breached, crossing twice (512.5 bps on 2026-07-16 for 1.2 minutes, and 666.4 bps on 2026-08-04 for a brief period of 2 seconds). Both in extended hours, both with APRO floating above Atlas.

## 3. Comparing the two feeds

We compared both feeds against Binance bStock prices and the underlying (via Yahoo Finance).

In calm market conditions APRO had a marginally tighter feed, more closely following the Binance bStock price across a majority of sampled minutes. When volatility spiked, Atlas performed better. In all ten cases where the two feeds diverged by 3+%, Atlas was closer to the Binance price (see appendix for more).

## 4. Recommendation

- We support the configuration now live for TSLAB, NVDAB, SPCXB, and SKHYB
  - Atlas as Main, APRO as Pivot, no Fallback, with a ±5% agreement band.
  - Atlas is a more appropriate fit for Main at this time.

- The empirical deviations between the two oracles support the band.
  - TSLAB, NVDAB, and SKHYB did not breach ±5% in the sample; SPCXB breached twice, for 75 seconds across 63 days, about 0.6 minutes a month. The configuration therefore adds an independent price check while rarely halting price-dependent actions.

## 5. The other assets in this VIP

VIP-654 also impacts the oracle configurations for SolvBTC, xSolvBTC, asBNB and slisBNB. The changes to (x)SolvBTC is routine, and due to feed availability changes as Redstone has sunset a SolvBTC feed while Chainlink has introduced new (xSolvBTC and SolvBTC) feeds with SVR enabled on xSolvBTC.

asBNB and slisBNB are pivot changes with asBNB switching its pivot from a Binance-fed adapter to Atlas, and slisBNB adding a pivot for the first time with a similar justification and tradeoff to the bStocks.
